Bedding Warehouse Sale Raises Over $23K for New Heroes Landing™ Children’s Justice Center

September 28, 2021

PRESS RELEASES

FRAZEYSBURG, Ohio—The Malouf Foundation™ announced today that a mattress and bedding warehouse sale, hosted by its parent company Malouf Companies™, raised more than $23,000 to support Heroes Landing™ Children’s Justice Center (CJC).

Heroes Landing™ , a Malouf Foundation™ initiative, will be the first children’s justice center in Muskingum County to coordinate the investigation and treatment of child sexual and physical abuse. At Heroes Landing™, a child will tell their story once to a trained interviewer so they don’t have to recount their trauma again. Based on the interview, a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), including medical and mental health professionals, will decide together how to help the child.

Evonne Saunders, executive director of Heroes Landing™, said, “On behalf of our team, I want to thank everyone who came out to the warehouse sale. The funds raised will help us secure a new building and equipment to assist child abuse survivors in Muskingum County. Heroes Landing™ would not be a reality without the community’s amazing support.”

The bedding warehouse sale held at Malouf’s distribution center is one of several fundraisers benefiting Heroes Landing™. On Sept. 27, the Heroes Landing™ Golf Classic was held at the Zanesville Country Club. All event proceeds will support the continued development of Heroes Landing™.

Heroes Landing™ is a member of the Ohio Network of Children’s Advocacy Centers (ONCAC) and is working toward national accreditation. To learn more, visit heroeslandingcjc.org. You can follow Heroes Landing™ on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
